Single-phase power generators

Single-phase power generators

Power outages can be a nuisance, but also often have serious consequences. An example is switching off heating in a greenhouse or poultry hatchery, which leads to serious losses in breeding. A power failure can also cause downtime in construction or workshop work. Therefore, power generators work well wherever the power supply continuity is important.

Single-phase generators for home and workshop

Single-phase generators are characterised by the generation of 230 VAC voltage, i.e. which is available in the household mains socket. Therefore, they can be used to power various household appliances and electronic devices. They are suitable for any residential building where we use single-phase receivers (there is no issue of current asymmetry in phases). In the case of buildings that require 400 VAC voltage for a three-phase induction cooker, water pump or central heating furnace, for example, it is necessary to use three-phase generators.

Single-phase power generators – technical parameters

Single-phase generators produce electricity with a voltage of 230 V and have varying rated power. The smallest and least efficient models offer voltage of 2.5 kW. More efficient models are characterised by a rated power of 14.9 kW and a rated current of 64.8 A. A large variety of technical parameters allows you to choose a model that will meet the power supply needs of a specific set of receivers. Therefore, this demand should be calculated before selecting a single-phase generator, taking into account the fact that during start-up devices need 30–40% more power than stated on the nameplate.
