Power generators can have many different applications. They are used in industry, construction, rescue operations, and households. When buying a generator, you need to choose a device with appropriate power and suited to the conditions of use. At home, in the garden, in a workshop, or in a construction company, lightweight portable generators work best. For powering devices in locations without access to the power grid or as an emergency power source in case of outages, it is better to choose a stationary generator.

Power generators can have many different applications. They are used in industry, construction, rescue operations, and households. When buying a generator, it is important to choose a device with the right power and adapted to the conditions at the place of use. Lightweight portable generators work best in the home, garden, workshop, or on construction sites. To power equipment in locations without access to grid electricity or as an emergency power source in case of outages, it is better to choose a stationary generator.

When should you choose a portable generator, and when is a stationary one better?

A generator should be selected according to energy demand – so that it can power all the devices intended for use. Portable generators come in different sizes and can generate more or less power. They can be used to supply power tools or other devices with varying energy consumption.

Portable generators are useful for camping, in the garden, or on construction sites. They are also used as an emergency power source to supply key household appliances and lighting in the event of a failure or interruption of the power supply from the grid.

Generators used as an emergency power source are usually installed permanently in a suitable location. For stationary backup generators, automation is increasingly used, which starts the generator when a power outage occurs and restores power to essential devices.

Portable power generators

Small portable generators are an excellent way to gain access to high-quality electricity virtually anywhere. They can be used on construction sites, in temporary outdoor installations, in gardens, and in any location without access to grid electricity where an engine-powered generator can be applied.

A portable generator with the right power can be used, for example:

  • to power tools and devices in areas with limited access to grid electricity,
  • as a power source on construction sites,
  • to power pumps and other industrial equipment that require electricity in places without access to the grid.

Types of portable power generators

To power tools and other low-consumption devices in places without access to electricity, small portable generators work best. Our company offers such devices in various power ranges, weights, and designs.

  • Portable generator – a mobile device that can be carried and set up anywhere. Both small suitcase-type portable generators and larger units, which may require two people to move, are available. Portable generators come in both single-phase and three-phase versions.
  • Small generator – can generate power up to several kW. Some models are available with wheel-mounted housings or on carts, making them much easier to move.
  • Suitcase generator – the smallest and most mobile type of generator, ideal for powering tools, lighting, and other 230 V devices exactly where they are needed most. Compact size and low weight are the key features of suitcase generators.

Stationary generators

When a generator is used as a backup power source, the best solution is a stationary unit. If parameters allow, a small portable generator can also be permanently installed as stationary backup power. Small generators are often installed in boiler rooms of single-family houses and used to supply heating equipment during outages. Large stationary generators are used in many businesses, hospitals, and commercial facilities. They serve as emergency power sources and ensure access to electricity in case of problems with the grid.
